Tonight we had tiny, fresh steamed artichokes for dinner!
Our favorite part is the heart, so the downside of little artichokes was teeny, tiny hearts. Still good, just not enough deliciousness!
Every time we have artichokes, I remember how differently they’re prepared in Italy. In Venice, we watched produce vendors hack the vegetables into discs, discarding the leaves and stem. Then they’re boiled and served covered in sauce. We steam ours whole in the microwave and then pour melted ghee on top. Both methods produce tasty results. How do you prepare artichokes?
