Today I learned how to make French macarons!
I took a class at a cooking supplies wonderland, after being inspired by a friend’s photos from taking the same class at her local shop.
Our wee class of six students made Lavender Macarons filled with Chocolate Ganache and Rose Petal Jam, under the excellent instruction of Chef Lesley. The class was really fun and I enjoyed getting to know everyone. I look forward to practicing these at home and experimenting with flavors and colors.
Today’s #OneGoodThing was learning how to make this delicious, delicate cookie. I even got to bring one home for Mama, who also loves macarons! Thank you Sur La Table Santa Rosa for hosting such a cool class!
Day 62 of 365. And Day 793 in a row (here’s the first 366 & the following 365)!

She did!!! Only wished we’d made more in class so there were more to take home. It was a small class but we each only got a few. I’ll have to make them at home soon!
