Decorating just in time

Celebrating the first night of Chanukah 2018

The Jewish holiday of Chanukah began tonight, and so Mama and I decorated our living room this afternoon.

The last-minute effort wasn’t exactly procrastination; the holiday just sort of sneaked up on us this year. (The date is based on a lunar calendar, so it changes each year.)

Thankfully Mama and I found a few random, leftover candles from various boxes among our decorations. We selected our favorite two menorahs to use, plus the baby one (not to light, just because it is adorable).

Today’s #OneGoodThing was lighting the candles and singing the blessings with Mama to celebrate the first night of Chanukah. Wishing all who celebrate a happy festival of lights!

Day 336 of 365. And Day 1,067 in a row (here’s the first 366 & the following 365)!

1 year ago today: Cold, but fun market day

2 years ago today: My painted ladies
