For months I’ve agonized over whether or not to continue writing about #OneGoodThing each day, a project which started as a New Year’s resolution three years ago today.
I knew with clarity that I wasn’t done last January 1st, same as the January 1st before that. But this year, I considered ending the series at my 1,000th post. I persevered and finished the third year of posts last night, and still a “full body yes” to continue eluded me.
I feel burnt out spiritually, as though my inner light has dulled. Given my own health struggles and those of my dear Mama, finding something good in the day can be a challenge. A little voice inside keeps screaming that that’s exactly why I can’t stop yet.
This daily writing provides stability, and I am grateful for the connection to all of you. Plus, I’ve found that seeking out surprising silver linings is a survival skill best constantly honed. Many thanks to everyone who has encouraged me to continue!
Today’s #OneGoodThing is a commitment to keep going in 2019. May the new year be filled with good things for all of us! What was your #OneGoodThing today? I hope you’ll share in the comments!
Day 1 of 365. And Day 1,097 in a row (here’s the first 366, & the following 365, & the third year of 365 good things)!

Yay! My prayer was answered!! You are an inspiration and often the only silver lining I find too.
I wish I could provide more than remote encouragement, but please remember, you are loved and valued.

A thankful heart is like medicine.
It brings joy to your soul.
Those silver linings dispel the darkness.
