While our vibrant garden dies off and looks sad in winter, Mama and I love to watch Amaryllis bulbs grow inside. It’s a tradition dating back to my childhood. We just adore the bright, happy flowers amidst the dark and gloomy days.
This year we picked up both red and white bulbs, and the white one opened majestically this morning!
Today’s #OneGoodThing with Mama was enjoying our white Amaryllis blooming like a star! What was your #OneGoodThing today? Please share in the comments! Kindness is Everything.
Day 2 of 366. And Day 1,463 in a row (here’s the first 366, & the following 365, & the third year of 365 good things, & the 4th year of good things)!

I don’t believe I have ever seen a white Amaryllis, it’s lovely!
Some years ago, I went back to Canada to visit my sister. We bought an Amaryllis for her apartment, and it soon showed signs of bursting into bloom. One night we were both startled out our sleep by a crash. It turned out that the top heavy, blooming amaryllis had toppled off the bookcase onto the floor.
