Every avocado I’ve sliced open for the last year was either rock solid, rotten, or both—until tonight! I finally managed to time it right and split open this avocado during the 15 minute window that it was perfectly ripe!

One of life’s disappointments, those avocadoes!
I have found an easy way to peel avocadoes, and it has changed my life! 🙂
After cutting it in half and removing the seed, cut it into 1/4s, then simple peel each section. It’s magic.

My mother in law says to cut out a little triangular piece at the bottom before you slice it open. Taste it. If it’s not ripe and soft yet just put it back and wait.
Haven’t tried that trick myself yet. These things are hit or miss for me, too.
