My best friend Alyssa arrived for a girls’ weekend and I could not be more excited! I’ve been counting down the weeks, days, and then hours until her arrival. Having this special time together has been my “something to look forward to” while I’ve been struggling.

I used airline miles to book a local hotel room again. This time we’re at a cute retro roadside motel called The Sandman. There’s a pool and a firepit with seating. We got a delicious sushi takeout feast, which we enjoyed in our room. And we’re having a wonderful time relaxing and laughing together.

Today’s #OneGoodThing is a girls’ weekend staycation with Alyssa! Meanwhile, Mama and our beloved respite caregiver Sarah are having adventures of their own at the coast and I can’t wait to hear all about it! What was your #OneGoodThing today?
