The kale in our garden box is being mysteriously eaten. As in, leaves with holes but no evidence of bugs.
Today we happened to look out Mama‘s bedroom window and notice about a dozen little birds happily chomping down on our kale and lettuce. We sat mesmerized watching them. Most of the birds perched on the edges of the box and even on the leaves while eating, while others hovered in the air and ate on the go.
We were very surprised the birds were so into our vegetable garden. There’s an actual bird feeder with seeds that they ignore just a few feet away.
By the time we got to photographing the birds eating the kale, there was only one bird left still eating.
Today’s #OneGoodThing was solving the mystery of the holey kale!
