I fumbled yesterday. For the first time all year, I missed my self-imposed midnight deadline to share the day’s #OneGoodThing. It wasn’t that there wasn’t a good thing to share. In fact, there was a great thing. But by the time we got home from it, I was physically unable to share it because I was in too much pain to speak or write.
But let’s focus on the great thing, not the health challenges. Mama and I decided to treat ourselves to tickets to see Trevor Noah perform at Sonoma State University’s Green Music Center! We only got the tickets a few days ago but we’re so glad we did. And we were thrilled the venue offered lower-cost ADA seating; it’s so nice when theaters make themselves more accessible.
So we went and we brought blankets and a nice, homemade picnic dinner to eat beforehand (our seats were at an outside table). Of course, we made friends with a lovely couple from Petaluma who were seated at the table next to us. We were reminded of our many summer night picnic dinners from years past at Shakespeare Santa Cruz.
We are regular viewers of The Daily Show with Trevor Noah and we’ve seen his comedy specials on Netflix and such. But we were excited to see him in person. Similarly to when we saw John Oliver perform locally just after we moved here, Trevor also threw in some local material and the crowd went nuts! Trevor was witty, funny and fresh. We really enjoyed seeing him perform live and we really enjoyed our outing!
Yesterday’s #OneGoodThing was getting to see Trevor Noah perform live in person!
Day 233 of 366.
What was your #OneGoodThing yesterday? Please share in the comments!
