We planted two Crepe Myrtle trees in our front yard in honor of Mama’s birthday last year. They were at the end of the blooming season when planted, and we’ve been eagerly following their progress all summer.

Full bloom seemed to be a few weeks ago, but we didn’t manage to snap a picture until this past week. Isn’t it wonderful how happy these vibrant blooms make Mama?
