At long last, our crepe myrtle trees have exploded into full glorious bloom! The afternoon light captured the flowers beautifully today, but they’re even more incredible and impressive in person.

Mama and I have loved following the progress of these trees — when we got our first tiny blossom this season and then when the first few buds popped open! Now these beauties light up our entire front yard. And, even better, we get to enjoy this delight of color through the living room window!
