I didn’t have high hopes for finding #OneGoodThing today as I had to return to the dentist due to post-crown/root canal complications. It’s nothing to do with the great doctors I saw, but my face is still swollen and painful.
But just when I walked out of the dentist’s office, this sweet old man got out of this beautiful, old car right next to me. After more than 2 years of editing the Cars section for The San Francisco Chronicle, I guess an appreciation for cool, old cars rubbed off on me. So I told the man I thought he had a sweet ride. He laughed and told me it was a ’41 Chevy, and proudly added that it was as old as he was. Pretty cool guy and a pretty cool car.
Today’s #OneGoodThing was seeing this cool old car and showing the owner a bit of appreciation.
Day 39 of 366.
For a bonus #OneGoodThing, Mama’s dear friend Athena (who is planning to start her own #OneGoodThing journal) made it through a rough day. Thank you G-d! Sending Athena much love for a speedy recovery from the entire Nosy Parker family!

That’s one cool car. (PS I’m older than the car, and not quite as well preserved!) 🙂
