Though I’ve seen plenty of hyperactive Boston Terriers, our little Abby has never been one. Playful isn’t a word often used to describe her.
When I adopted Abby a little more than 6 years ago, I got her a basket of toys. She was not interested in any of them and I ended up donating the toys to a local shelter. Abby is super sweet, but she’d choose a cuddle over a walk any day.
Abby’s rehab doctor suggested we get her a treat ball so she’d get some exercise trying to get at the kibble inside. She’d do anything for a treat so it didn’t take her long to figure out how it works. Watching her contort her body to try to reach the ball was hilarious. We took a little movie of our sweet old dog learning a new trick (attached below). Hope you enjoy!
Today’s #OneGoodThing is an old dog’s new trick!

What a good way to get a little bit of exercise. I wonder if it would work for me, loaded with licorice treats?
