A movie about a nurse who could save your life

Sally PacholokToday the Nosy Parker family watched this incredible movie called “Sally Pacholok” based on a true story.

The film is described as a whistleblower/romance about healthcare: “Feisty nurse takes on the medical establishment when she uncovers an epidemic of misdiagnosis.” Sally Pacholok is the Erin Brockovich of vitamin B12 deficiency awareness.

I haven’t finished reading the book yet that Pacholok co-authored on the subject, but the movie did a great job of highlighting the many varying symptoms of B12 deficiency as well as how difficult it is to get treatment. B12 isn’t “just a vitamin,” it’s essential to being alive. A deficiency is very dangerous and can cause permanent damage. The film isn’t a documentary; it’s a beautifully told story in feature film format.

Today’s #OneGoodThing was seeing this insightful and entertaining movie with a direct impact on my life. Thank you to everyone involved in the making of this film! If you’re interested in seeing “Sally Pacholok,” you can rent it on Vimeo or buy it on Amazon.
