I have the honor of being a bridesmaid for one of my best friends later this month.
I was supposed to wear these gorgeous, sexy, sparkly gold heels. Unfortunately, around the same time the heels arrived, my health declined and I suffered damage to my nervous system from B12 deficiency causing weakness and unsteadiness. I was crushed that I wouldn’t be able to wear the awesome gold heels, but being in this wedding has been a great goal for me to work toward with my physical therapist.
Today I had to face facts; and even though I’m making progress, it is unlikely that I’d be able to wear the heels — and probably unwise to try. So I sadly returned the heels. Miraculously I found a pair of flats that look nearly identical from the aerial view and they’re comfortable!Today’s #OneGoodThing was accepting my own limitations and finding the perfect gold, pointy-toe flats to complete my bridesmaid outfit. Plus, I met a super helpful manager and a sales guy who understood my mismatched feet issue and were very kind! Special thanks to Nordstrom for selling mismatched sizes!
Day 123 of 366.

They look very nice, Gabriana. How excellent that you can buy mismatched shoe sizes, so many people have feet that are not the same size.

Thanks Yvonne! Yes it is a miracle to find a store that will sell the mismatched sizes for no extra charge. Nordstrom was originally a shoe store so they really care about shoes that fit. They don’t sell only 1/2 size different, but if you need more than that they’re great. My feet are an entire size apart, but also the arches and widths are very different. This can make shoe shopping very challenging. I’m so grateful that Nordstrom will accommodate my size issue.

Thank you! I was feeling nervous about the move from heels to flats, but I think it’s the right step 🙂
