Abby somehow got an infected ulcer on the cornea in her right eye last week. The emergency vet gave us eye drops and sent us to an ophthalmologist, who gave us more drops to give twice hourly! Poor Abby’s eye was cloudy, leaky and scary looking — and we were so worried.
Today was the follow-up appointment with the wonderful Dr. Burwell, who told us that the infection in her eye is now under control and that I did a great job with the near constant drops! Also, it looks promising that Abby will be able to keep her eye and regain full vision. Fingers crossed she won’t need surgery! She’ll still need the cone for at least another two weeks. And she still needs eye drops, but not nearly so many times a day!
Today’s #OneGoodThing was tangible proof of Abby’s recovery! Thank you Dr. Burwell!
