We were worried our Crepe Myrtle tree (Mama‘s favorite) wasn’t going to bloom this year because we’d seen some of these beautiful and popular trees around town already in bloom.
While watering the garden this evening, I discovered the first blossom buds ready to explode with red flowers. I couldn’t wait to finish watering to show Mama, who was very excited!
Today’s #OneGoodThing was finding the new buds on our Crepe Myrtle tree!

Hi Yvonne! What color are the blooms in your town? Ours will be red. I can’t wait! Santa Rosa is filled with them. That impressed us when we were town/house hunting. Luther Burbank is from Santa Rosa and I think he had a lot to do with the planting of crepe myrtles and beautifying the town.
