Standing up for what’s right

Immigrant Descendant Profile PicToday I donated to become a member of the ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union). Though our family joined in December under Mama’s name, we felt it was important to show our support given what’s happening in our country.

America is a country of immigrants. My own family fled from Ukraine to escape persecution for being Jewish. I am a proud immigrant descendant. Immigrants seeking the American dream — the land of the free, the home of the brave — are what make this country great.

We are deeply troubled by what’s been happening at our borders. We do not believe in a ban or a wall. These are unconstitutional and un-American.

Today’s #OneGoodThing was seeing so many people stand up for what’s right and protest injustice. We were physically unable to join in person, but were proud to support the ACLU in the fight against discrimination.

Day 29 of 365.

  1. This may be super lame but I have been trying to figure out for the last two hours how to add the Immigrant Descendant Filter on my Facebook page. May I ask how you did it?
