While running errands with Mama this afternoon, we stopped at Ulta Beauty and had the opportunity to pick up an awesome mascara sample for only a penny! Best of all, it was mascara I had wanted to try.

Of course, we each got our own. It isn’t safe to share mascara. So it cost us two pennies.

I used to wear makeup every day. Now I mostly just wear softly tinted moisturizer, lip balm, and maybe sometimes mascara (because my blonde eyelashes wash out my face). Anyway, I’m excited to test out a new mascara. It’s called “they’re Real” and it’s by Benefit Cosmetics, a company and product line that I love! (I even got to interview one of Benefit’s founders several years ago as part of my job at The San Francisco Chronicle — best day ever!).

Today’s #OneGoodThing was getting a steal of a sample for each of us!
