“Wedding Girl” by Stacey Ballis on BookBub!

This morning I discovered one of my favorite authors had a book available on BookBub (if you’re not familiar, BookBub sends daily book deals for free or cheap books within chosen genres — it’s great!).

I discovered Stacey Ballis’s books through a recommendation by another of my favorite authors, Jen Lancaster. Stacey’s books are especially wonderful for their foodie flair. I always find myself inspired to bake or try something new in the kitchen. Both authors have me laughing uncontrollably. And today, I have not been able to put down “Wedding Girl.” I so identified with the main character that it almost feels like it was written for me. It reminds me of how I feel whenever I read a Jennifer Weiner novel.

I tore myself away from the novel long enough to do a home spa night with Mama. Today is Mother’s Day, after all. Of course, every day is Mother’s Day in our home. This morning, I was deeply touched when Mama wished me a happy Mother’s Day for being like a mother to her.

Today’s #OneGoodThing is a lovely day filled reading a captivating book, enjoying a bit of backyard sunshine, and a home spa night with Mama. I’m grateful to celebrate another Mother’s Day together. And I love that it is also my 500th day of #OneGoodThing!!! Woohoo!!!!
