Delightful British bakers

We have found a new show to binge-watch on Netflix and it is quite endearing! “The Great British Baking Show” has been around for several years, but we’ve only just gotten hooked.

Mama and I really enjoy this show because the 12 amateur bakers competing are humble and kind. We enjoy drooling over their creativity, and we adore all of the British expressions! We’re only in the first season now, but we’ve already got a few favorite contestants.

  1. How come it’s “The Great British Baking Show” on PBS, whereas it is, and always has been, “The Great British Bake Off” in the UK? There is quite a lot of ‘nudge-nudge, wink-wink’ humour in the commentary of Mel and Sue to watch out for. I’d be happy to explain any expressions you have a problem with.
