Mama and I were really excited to see the solar eclipse from our home today, but it was so foggy that we couldn’t see anything. And then we were super excited for a long anticipated sleepover visit from Mama’s childhood friend; but she’s just gotten a cold and had to cancel since I have a compromised immune system right now (from my Crohn’s IV infusion treatment). So the day started out overwhelmingly disappointing. I actually wondered what I’d possibly write for today’s post.
And then the greatest thing happened. One of my very first besties in life survived a major surgery in her fight against stage 4 colon cancer. She’d been much on our minds, and we had been praying for her and her family. Her mother kept everyone updated on Facebook and so it felt like we were all there in the waiting room with them. Thank God, she is stable and doing well.
