I had my third IV infusion treatment for my Crohn’s Disease today. It was the final of my loading doses and it went surprisingly well. The awesome nurse, Cindy, warmed up my arm and was able to find a vein on the first try — a miracle for my crappy veins!
Then I got home to mail informing me I’d won my appeal for disability insurance! This was wonderful news and completely shocking as I hadn’t felt like I’d advocated very well for myself.
Lastly, Mama and I were able to successfully live-stream Erev Rosh Hashana services tonight from Congregation Beth Am in Los Altos Hills. We have dear family friends who are members and are also in the choir there. Plus, it turns out I know one of Beth Am’s rabbis from college. He gave an excellent sermon about empathy. To all my Jewish friends and readers, Shana Tova! Wishing you a happy, healthy, sweet new year!
Today’s #OneGoodThing was the trifecta of a fast IV stick, winning my appeal, and successfully praying with our community from home!
Day 263 of 365. And Day 629 in a row!
