This giant box with a Costco package of toilet paper arrived just in time today.
Mama and I had procrastinated putting in our order because we weren’t sure we’d have a house to put it in. We live very near the Santa Rosa neighborhood destroyed by the massive fires, and we spent each day last week preparing for evacuation. But Google Express Shopping came through for us, and our kind OnTrac delivery guy was back and brought the box to the door!
Today’s #OneGoodThing was a large order of toilet paper arriving just before our last roll ran out!
Day 265 of 365. And Day 657 in a row!
1 year ago today: Friendly northern neighbors

When I read your previous post about toilet paper, I thought about how it’s the basics that are so essential. We can do without many things, toilet paper isn’t on that list. Then, my thoughts wandered to what in heck people used before toilet paper. My childhood was in the late 1930s to the early 1940s. We used various paper … catalogue and newspaper pages, but the best was when pears and apples were in season, each wrapped in soft paper. That was luxury!
Enjoy your toilet paper, in safety.
