The end of Daylight Saving Time gave us an extra hour. In the past, I’ve spent much of that hour changing all our damn clocks.
This year, I have yet to change a single clock (thankfully our phones updated themselves). Instead, our extra hour was much better spent enjoying a wonderful middle-of-the-night visit with our dear neighbor friend. She couldn’t sleep and Mama and I are night owls, so we had an impromptu visit in our pajamas and it was one of our best Saturday nights/Sunday mornings in ages!
In case you’re wondering, at 1:59 a.m. the clock turns back to 1:00 instead of 2:00. We essentially repeat the 1:00 hour. We happened to be awake to see that happen. It was an extra hour well spent! And that is today’s #OneGoodThing!
Also, who else remembers calling popcorn for the time? “At the tone, Pacific Standard Time will be…”
Day 309 of 365. And Day 675 in a row!
