Mama still wasn’t feeling well today and didn’t want me to leave her side. Her severe headache went into day three, and she’s had some troubling neurological symptoms that are scaring both of us. Thankfully, we didn’t have to return to the ER today, but it was close.
I snuck out for a moment when Mama fell asleep this evening so I could take out our trash bins for collection, but when I returned she woke up scared and confused. So I was immensely grateful when our kind, sweet neighbor came over to sit with Mama while I showered. It was such a relief to know Mama was in good hands. And being clean feels wonderful!
Today’s #OneGoodThing was our mensch next door! For anyone unfamiliar with the term, a mensch is a truly good person, one of noble character, integrity and honor. Anyone who supports a family caregiver is a mensch in my book! Many thanks Ti!!! We love you!
Day 311 of 365. And Day 677 in a row!

Thank goodness for the love of neighbours. Jude, I hope so hard you’ll be feeling better soon. Hugs from far away.
