The remote on Mama’s lift chair broke a couple of weeks ago, and we’ve been fervently waiting for the replacement to arrive at the local service department.
In the meantime, I’ve been her “lift chair” — helping Mama up to a standing position from the cushioned depths. And I’ve been dragging our giant ottoman into position for her legs, racing to get Mama’s legs tucked under a blanket before Paisley jumps up and burrows into her lap. Our temporary fix wasn’t as comfortable for Mama, and the arranging wasn’t easy for either of us.
So we were thrilled to get the call this afternoon that the new remote arrived; and we raced across town to get it! Thankfully, it was easy to switch out and now Mama can freely recline or stand with a bit of support.
Today’s #OneGoodThing was replacing the remote so Mama has a working lift chair once again!
Day 83 of 365. And Day 814 in a row (here’s the first 366 & the following 365)!
