Mama and I began the day’s festivities with mani/pedis at a nail salon downtown. After our bit of relaxation and pampering, we walked around and enjoyed the warm sunshine, bright blue sky and brilliant flowered trees. We also met a group of inspiring kids protesting gun violence.

We continued our birthday tradition of beignets, but this year we went to our new favorite beignet bakery near us. After a rest, we caught a matinee showing of Amy Schumer’s new movie “I Feel Pretty.” We had a great time!

Today’s #OneGoodThing was celebrating 36 with Mama! Bonus #OneGoodThing was a gorgeous bouquet of flowers that arrived on my doorstep today!
