Why do we keep so many books that we have read, Gabriana? I have a room full of them. Not FULL, you understand, just the walls are lined with them. Some, a few, I have not read. But I’m surely not going to read the ones I have read again. I like to keep non-fiction, but these are more reference books than books to read. Upstairs, I have a large box, full of books I have not read. The local pub had a book swap during covid, and I picked up a lot of books I’d like to read. I got the whole “Inspector Morse” series and read them recently. By the time I had finished each one, I had forgotten who had done what to whom. Morse was not the nice chap you see in the TV series.
