These lovely lights have been with me for many years — lighting up my bedroom and making it feel like home each time I moved. I got them in downtown Santa Cruz, Calif. about 10 years ago.

I’ve usually featured the branch lights near a print of my favorite painting, Van Gogh’s Almond Blossom. I love the way the lights illuminate the print and give a magical feel to my room. It took me until today to finally put these lovely lights up in my room and I’m so glad I did. I spent some time reading a new book directly beneath them and found the twinkle to be just what I needed.

Today’s #OneGoodThing is the magical feeling that my branch lights over my bed brings to my room — as well as taking the time to put them up since I knew it would make me happy.
