Santa Rosa’s crepe myrtle-lined streets helped us fall in love with this town when we were house hunting 1½ years ago. Mama especially loves these trees so we planted one right in front of our house.
We were worried that our red crepe myrtle tree wouldn’t make it through winter because it’s been barren for so long. But today the little tiny leaves started turning a brilliant red and there’s hope for our tree! Woohoo!
Then we discovered the lavender has flowered as well! The last photo is of the glorious mint that has randomly appeared and spread like a welcome weed in our yard. It smells great and we love it!
Today’s #OneGoodThing is the sure sign of spring in our front yard.
Day 62 of 366.
