Abby in her new k9sportsack backpack carrier

Our sweet dog Abby is having a hard time walking. In January, she tore the ligament in one knee and then the other. She’s been going to rehab and was getting better — until she had to take a break from rehab earlier this summer due to emergency eye surgery. During that break, her legs got worse. Also during these months, I’ve had some health struggles of my own, making it harder for me to carry Abby.

Today Abby’s new backpack carrier, a k9sportsack, arrived and it is a perfect fit! The Nosy Parker family took another short walk in our neighborhood and the backpack carrier allowed us to bring Abby.

Today’s #OneGoodThing was our first use of Abby’s new backpack carrier — and the many instances in which this will make our life easier.
