I have never been a morning person — even when I used to mainline caffeine through overnight writing shifts in the newsroom. Mornings are just not my thing. That is, except for my latest routine with sweet Paisley.
First thing in the morning, Paisley wolfs down her breakfast and I give myself a B12 injection (still one of the hardest parts of my day). But then, Paisley will often crawl back under my covers and cuddle up against me. She seems to know when I’ve had a painful jab and need some extra love. That was today. She pushed off of the pillows to get closer to me and so I smiled when that was the last thing I felt like doing. I love this dog.
Today’s #OneGoodThing is my new favorite time of day with Paisley.
Day 75 of 365.
