Garden in progress

Mama and I have been slowing planting our garden and it is coming along beautifully.

We’ve planted gorgeous, colorful Petunias all around the house. Our garden box is starting to fill with this year’s vegetables (only partially planted at this point). We’ve got our table scraps celery plant, lemon cucumber, borage, carrots, and zucchini. We’ve got one spot left for radishes. Plus, we decided to experiment with watermelon! We’re also planting marigolds in the box (to deter bugs). The final photo in the collage is our new Jerusalem sage plant. It’s a baby now, but it’s supposed to become huge!

Outside our back door

And this lovely scene is our herb and succulent garden outside our back door. There’s also jasmine and honeysuckle to bring a fragrant touch. We love how happy this looks and how it brightens our home. I also love it because of the fun seagull sculpture, which once belonged to my beloved grandmother.

Today’s #OneGoodThing is our garden in progress. It’s so lovely that Mama says it makes her want to paint again! Mission successful.

Day 124 of 365. And Day 490 in a row!
