A gut gone wrong

I’ve been ignoring a problem in my gut for some time now. I could always attribute it to my B12 deficiency issues or my historically weak stomach. But the symptoms have gotten worse and worse. My daily life is affected. And my friend Jenessa’s words ring in my head about not ignoring your gut.

So today I had an appointment with my primary care doctor. She listened to me and agreed there’s definitely a problem that needs investigating. Some of the easier tests are done now and I’m awaiting the last results, but it looks like the dreaded colonoscopy will likely be next. As awful as that ordeal is, at least then perhaps I’ll have an answer and won’t be sick so much.

Today’s #OneGoodThing was my doctor listening to me and my gut.

Day 137 of 365. And Day 503 in a row!

1 year ago today: Angel or seamstress?
