Alternative celebrations

Today was the Jewish holiday of Yom Kippur. It began last night and ended at sundown. Traditionally this day is spent fasting and praying at the synagogue. Neither Mama nor I were in good enough health to do either. Instead, we spent time together and refreshed our minds, bodies, and spirits at home. And that was today’s #OneGoodThing. On Yom Kippur we say: ‘May you be inscribed in the Book of Life!’ I hope the coming year will be one of good health, good fortune, joy and peace for all.

Day 273 of 365. And Day 639 in a row!
