A wildfire has destroyed thousands of homes and businesses in Santa Rosa. Entire neighborhoods have been reduced to rubble.
Mama and I live just a few miles away from the evacuation zone. Dry winds have been a major factor in this fast-moving fire, and we pray it doesn’t blow the flames in our direction.
For a second day in a row, we closely monitored the fire’s progress and got ourselves ready to evacuate. We were deeply touched by the concerned calls, texts and Facebook messages we received — several including offers to stay should we be evacuated. We pray it won’t come to that, but we are so grateful for the support and love.
Today’s #OneGoodThing are the kind offers and loving messages we’ve received during this scary time.
Day 283 of 365. And Day 649 in a row!
