Today was the third day in a row that Mama and I have gotten up and packed for what feels like the worst vacation ever. We live in Santa Rosa, just a few miles south of the mandatory evacuation zone. If the wind kicks up again and blows the fire in our direction, we could be in trouble.
Smoke and ash fill the air and made this sunset an eerie red. We’ve tried to stay inside as much as possible. We’ve been watching the news and monitoring the fire’s progress. We’ve been banding together with neighbors to stay on top of what’s happening.
Today’s #OneGoodThing was making it through another day in our home! We pray we won’t have to evacuate!
Day 284 of 365. And Day 650 in a row!

Thank G-d you are safe and your house is safe. I am praying for the winds to die down and doing a rain dance for Santa Rosa!
