Mama and I ended our Calistoga adventures with a wine tasting this afternoon.
We aren’t massively into wine; we visit this little part of California’s Wine Country for the mud baths and the town’s ambiance. We often skip wine tasting altogether. But there’s a winery I’ve been wanting to check out for many yeas because they make the one type of wine that we adore — Moscato! There are many varieties, but we’re partial to Moscato di Asti, a lightly sparkling sweet white wine!
Despite pouring rain, Mama and I had the most wonderful time at V. Sattui Winery in St. Helena. We told our Wine Consultant, Preston, what we like and he made excellent recommendations. We especially fancied the Moscato Frizzante, the Muscat, and the Gamay Rouge. V. Sattui also offered an incredible cheese selection, breads and crackers, sandwiches, prepared foods, and so much more. We look forward to returning during nice weather to take advantage of their picnic area.
Today’s #OneGoodThing was Moscato wine tasting with Mama! Also, special thanks to our hotel for the 2-for-1 wine tasting coupon! If you’re traveling to the area, check out the Best Western Plus Stevenson Manor in Calistoga. We had a great time staying there! Nice rooms, quality free breakfast, free Wifi, lovely amenities, and really nice staff.
Day 24 of 365. And Day 755 in a row (here’s the first 366 & the following 365)!
