I try to improve our backyard living space each spring/summer, learning from what worked and didn’t the previous year. February is when I begin my planning. This time around, I’m designing an outdoor storage unit out of inexpensive PVC pipes.
I’m really enjoying this project because it reminds me of the fun I had with Legos as a kid. Free online software exists for this type of design project, but I needed to see a visual representation in my hands. I drew out pictures, but couldn’t get the angles right to get a feel for what we need. So I gathered a few plastic straws, a pair of scissors, and my hot glue gun.
My adorable straw model isn’t exactly to scale, but it helped me determine what scale works best for us. After a wee bit of research on PVC connections, I’ll be ready to build!
Today’s #OneGoodThing was creating a mini model of my DIY outdoor storage unit!
Day 54 of 365. And Day 785 in a row (here’s the first 366 & the following 365)!
