I’ve been cutting out and gluing red felt fabric into more than 800 rose petals for weeks now (an excellent post-surgery activity). I finally stopped my assembly-line style work to finish the first prototype and I’m so pleased. They’ll be beautiful at our annual summer garden party celebrating Mama’s triumph over brain cancer.
While crafting, I’ve been debating whether or not to add leaves and whether to vary the rose sizes. The addition of felt leaves will be decided by my time or lack thereof, but I went for full and open flowers inspired by the actual gorgeous red roses we sourced from local farmers in the past.
I’ve got a lot of work left to do on this project, but now that we can visualize the end result better, it feels like it is really coming along. And that’s today’s #OneGoodThing with Mama! What was your #OneGoodThing today? Please share in the comments! Kindness is Everything.
Day 54 of 366. And Day 1,515 in a row (here’s the first 366, & the following 365, & the third year of 365 good things, & the 4th year of good things)!
