A year ago today my doctor saw ulcers on my colon and told me I have Crohn’s disease.
It’s a relief to know what’s been causing a lifetime of gut issues. With treatment, there have been some better days in these last few months.
Today wasn’t one of them. I woke up more nauseous than usual, and proceeded to throw up for more than 12 hours. I can’t keep down water and I’m empty.
Today’s #OneGoodThing! was the cold, clean floor of my bathroom, where I spent much of the day.
Day 146 of 365. And Day 877 in a row (here’s the first 366 & the following 365)!
1 year ago today: The bright side of a colonoscopy
2 years ago today: Remembering Mema

I hope you can get some rest!

Thanks Lys! I’ve been resting, I promise. But if I can’t start keeping down any liquids soon, I’ll have to go to the ER for IV fluids over a holiday weekend. I am desperately trying to avoid that!

Yes it was totally rotten! But in the middle of the misery, I actually thought to myself how grateful I was for the cold, clean floor!!!
