Crafter’s paradise

I learned new crafting skills today through a Craftsy video.

Mama and I, both lifelong avid crafters, recently signed up for a two-week promotion Craftsy was having for unlimited how-to videos on a wide variety of projects. She has been watching continental knitting videos, while I have been engrossed in videos on paper crafts using a Cricut machine.

Today’s #OneGoodThing was spending time in a crafter’s paradise!

  1. […] Our big excitement of the day, besides the free bagels, of course, was a bargain hunting adventure in a store called Tuesday Morning. Mama and I were vaguely aware of its existence before, but had no idea what they sold. My friend Gail introduced me to this treasure trove yesterday, and I couldn’t wait to share it with Mama! Aisle after aisle of quality kitchen and home items, all deeply discounted. It’s like a Ross store, but without clothes. Instead, there was room to sell craft supplies, interesting toys, pet stuff, furniture, and more. We spent a lot of time perusing the artist’s aisle, where we found an enticing smidgen of materials for at least two dozen different kinds of crafts. These gorgeous balls of soft yarn were Mama’s #OneGoodThing today; and I found teal glitter iron-on vinyl to use with my Cricut cutting machine. […]
