Mama and I have been missing Venice desperately. Unbeknownst to each other, we’ve each been reading books featuring Venice lately. Our home is a shrine of art and photos from our special trips, but it’s nearly five years since we’ve been.
Homesick for the beautiful, magical city that brought Mama back to life after a terminal diagnosis, we re-watched the movie “The Tourist” tonight — mostly so we could feel immersed in our beloved Venice again.
We really enjoy the glamour and charm of this movie, and we loved recognizing Venice geography! During our last trip, we went to the Costume Museum, where we got to see one of the spectacular pieces that Angelina Jolie wore in the movie.
Today’s #OneGoodThing was re-watching The Tourist with Mama and remembering our wonderful adventures in Venice!
Day 214 of 365. And Day 945 in a row (here’s the first 366 & the following 365)!

If you recognise the geography of Venice from that film, you are doing very well, since they play fast and loose with La Serenissima.

True, who knew the Danieli was next to the Rialto Market 🙂
Or that the airport overlooked the Guidecca Canal!
But fun none the less

Yes, they do! I kept pausing it and pointing out how it was geographically impossible, but we loved it anyway! Just so wonderful to be immersed in Venice 😍
