We returned from Venice several days ago and jet lag hit us hard, so we’ve been slow to unpack. Today Mama and I finally unearthed a few of our Venetian treasures.
Despite a broken suitcase, we were thrilled to find the bottle of Moscato D’Asti that we brought home intact, as well as our tiny glass Paisley sculpture. Also photographed are a few of our other favorite goodies: a calendar and illustrated place mat (from our friend Alessandro’s shop, La Ricerca), a painted wooded sculpture/puzzle of a Venetian house with gondola and a pop-up card with an intricate paper cut of Venice (both from another shop we love, Senor Blum), and a tiny wooden puzzle of a gondolier rowing a gondola. Paisley has yet to learn that we got her a red-ribboned gondolier’s hat, but we will be sure to share a photo when that happens!
Today’s #OneGoodThing was enjoying the fun part of post-trip unpacking with Mama!
Day 288 of 365. And Day 1,019 in a row (here’s the first 366 & the following 365)!
1 year ago today: Spa for our eyes
2 years ago today: A tasty bone by a warm fire
