Mama and I started off the day with lunch of cicchetti, or small bites, from a wonderful and tiny place called All’Arco, which we learned about from watching Netflix’s “Somebody Feed Phil.” The food was incredibly innovative and fresh, and we enjoyed getting to meet Mateo, who was introduced in the show.
Then as Mama and I were struggling to cross over the many crowded steps of the Rialto Bridge, a sweet woman called Zaina stopped and offered to help us. This angel carried Mama’s rollator walker, while I helped Mama on the stairs. We loved chatting with her and were immensely grateful for her assistance!
Next up, we returned to Campiello del Remer, our old beloved neighborhood of six years ago. We took some photos and stopped in to say hello at the Taverna.
We ended the day with a visit to our friend Alessandro at his shop, La Ricerca. He and his family make everything by hand, including beautiful paper marbling and more. We got to know Alessandro on our trip six years ago, and it was fantastic to see him again!
Today’s #OneGoodThing was a very full day of great food and friends in Venice with Mama!
