New method of treatment

I’ve been making pirate jokes for a few weeks, ever since I was diagnosed with very low Vitamin C (think scurvy levels). Vitamin C-rich foods and supplements have triggered massive vomiting and other GI symptoms so my doctor prescribed an injection.

Since a Vitamin C deficiency isn’t common in the U.S., the medication had to be special ordered, but it finally arrived today. I was able to get my first jab this afternoon. I wish I could tell you that I felt awesome, but it still hurts hours later.

However, after getting a major medical runaround to address this deficiency, finally getting treatment that avoids my GI tract altogether is great — and today’s #OneGoodThingWhat was your #OneGoodThing today? Please share in the comments!

It’s another good thing, or more, that you are intelligent, informed and assertive.
