I had successful gallbladder surgery today and I’m so thrilled to share that it was uneventful. I’m happy to be back home and resting in my own bed.
I am thankful for our village that has come together to support us and help us while I am out of commission. Thank you to our good friend Margo for taking us to the hospital and getting Mama settled in the waiting room. Thank you to the extraordinary Dena who came and took Mama out to get coffee and stretch her legs. Thank you to our beloved More Diane for joining Mama in the waiting room, taking us home and taking such good care of us tonight—including singing us the “Mi Shebeirach” (a prayer for healing). Thanks to my bestie Alyssa for the early morning pre-surgery pep talk. And thanks to our neighbor Lili for checking on our sweet Paisley during the long day. Thank you to everyone who sent well wishes and prayers! They were greatly appreciated!
Today’s #OneGoodThing with Mama was our village—we couldn’t have gotten through this day without you! What was your #OneGoodThing today? Please share in the comments! Kindness is Everything.

Brava! Modern surgery is just amazing! Be a good lass and listen to what you’re told, okay?
