This is my 10th year of sharing One Good Thing daily. Today is actually my 3,300th day!
But this week has been rough with the L.A. fires. I have friends who’ve lost their homes and friends living in fear with bags packed. And I remember what that was like. We live in Santa Rosa, where we lost entire neighborhoods to fires as well. It was traumatic as a community. My heart goes out to all those affected by these fires.
I haven’t stopped my blog this week about finding One Good Thing daily because it is not about toxic positivity. It’s about recognizing that there’s a lot of terrible in the world and finding a glimmer to hold onto to survive. It’s not about denying the horrors of the world. It’s about living through them.
Through the devastation of this past week, the only positive is seeing the kindness of everyone pulling together to help those who’ve lost everything.
Today’s #OneGoodThing with Mama Jude is looking for the helpers! Video below! Readers, what was YOUR #OneGoodThing today? Please share in the comments!!! Let us cheer you on! And remember, kindness is everything!
