As a young woman, age 19-25, I was obese. As a mother of two toddlers, I developed Type 2 diabetes. I was on meds for this.
For the past three years, since my beloved husband died of a heart attack, I have been living alone and not cooking much.
Recently, a friend started bringing me Meals on Wheels, since I no longer have a car. (stroke 5 months ago) I can no longer hop in my car and drive to the grocery store for cake and ice cream.
Nowadays, my every-day good thing is slimming down to the point where my weight scale doesn’r scream back at me and I am off the diabetes meds.
